Sometimes we get so caught up in anxieties about the future that we forget to live in the present. While we shouldn’t stop planning for the future (it gives us something to hope for!), it’s also important to trust that God will get us to where we need to go. We will make mistakes, go through struggles, and sometimes feel completely lost. But remember that life isn’t a race. You don’t have to know exactly what your plan is for life or what you even want. Life is about figuring that out and adjusting your plans. Enjoy where you are right now, and know that if you are struggling, you will get through it. It is our experiences that make us who we are.
Game Plan: Too often we forget to let ourselves play like we did as kids. Give yourself some time to just play with no purpose other than having fun. Build a sandcastle. Play catch. Create a mandala drawing. Make some homemade play dough. Life is meant to be enjoyed!
