I never found the companion that was so companionable as solitude. We are for the most part more lonely when we go abroad among men than when we stay in our chambers. – Henry David Thoreau
Solitude is a positive thing – a time when you disconnect from the world, and connect with and get to know yourself. Although I love being around the people I love, I also find that I need that time alone to restore and refresh my energy tank. Solitude is important for reflection, working through problems, being able to unwind and relax, and having the time alone to do something that you enjoy.
Game Plan: Take some time for solitude today and make it enjoyable – it’s not about being lonely, but enjoying the quiet and feeding your soul.
