“You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.” – Zig Ziglar
Now you just have to believe it!
To be a winner, you have to plan to win. What do you want and how will you get there? Prepare to win. Put the work in! Disconnect from the result, just focus on the moment and what you have to do next. And expect to win. Whether you think you’ll win or you think you’ll lose can have a big impact on your performance. Your biggest obstacle can often be your own mind.
When the Canadian men’s hockey team went to the Vancouver Olympics in 2010, coach Mike Babcock posted a manifesto on the wall with the words, “Leave No Doubt.” As he says in his book, “Confidence enables you to make strong choices. Confidence helps you get beyond doubt. Confidence gets you ready for big moments. We had won the game before we hit the ice. Champions know.”
Game Plan: What is your goal? Make a plan to get there, prepare and work towards it, and most importantly, believe in yourself!
