Success helps to increase confidence, but it’s pretty hard to find success without being confident in yourself. How do you do that? Part of it is in knowing that you are capable of achievement, and being confident that you are prepared. Use unsuccessful experiences from the past to learn what you can do differently, and use successful experiences to increase your confidence. Set small, incremental goals, and acknowledge yourself for all of those goals that you do achieve.
Game Plan: Think about some of the areas in your life where you lack confidence, and ways that you could help improve your confidence. Is there something you can do to feel more prepared? Try self-talk and imagery to improve your confidence. When you know you’re prepared and can tackle what’s ahead, believe in yourself!
