Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.
― Mahatma Gandhi
Guard your heart, because it influences every other part of your life. Your heart is who you are – your beliefs, your dreams, your passions, your values, your perspective. Guarding your heart isn’t about closing yourself off and trying to keep yourself from getting hurt, but not allowing darkness and negativity to affect your relationships, your job, and yourself. It’s about giving your heart to Christ and asking Him to guide us in all that we do.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalm 51:10)
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. (Matthew 5:8)
Game Plan: Guard your heart. The next time you feel angry or frustrated, stressed or overwhelmed, slow down those thoughts and approach the situation with love and kindness.
