#259: Power Play – No One

Heart and Ice Power Play - No one

Somewhere right now, someone out there feels exactly like you do.

Despite all our differences, we all deal with the same things, in different times and different ways.

We’re all striving and struggling, learning and growing, and sometimes it can feel like we should be somewhere else–smarter, wiser, further along, or closer to having an answer.

But right now in the middle, in the messiness and uncertainty, this is where we all live.

No one has it all figured out—and maybe that’s the point.

Somewhere right now, someone is deciding it’s okay to be right where they are.

Take a deep breath, look around, and let that person be you.

Have you ever felt lost and confused, that it seems like everyone else knows what they want, knows how to do it, and knows where they’re going?  When you really get to know people, you realize that even the most confident people doubt themselves.  Even those people who act like they have it figured out and judge you because you don’t.  Guess what?  They don’t either.

You might make plans and goals, but we all pretty much have to make it up as we go.  There are so many good and not-so-good things in life that we couldn’t plan for, and we’re always learning more about ourselves and the world around us.  There is no game plan or playbook to follow – that can be scary, but it can also be liberating.  No one has it all figured out, and you don’t have to have it all figured out to move forward.

Game Plan:  Stop judging yourself based on where you are in life vs. where you (or others) think you should be.  Try not to force yourself into making decisions that don’t make sense for you.  You are not alone in your confusion and uncertainty.  No one has it all figured out.
