#286: Power Play – I Am Willing

In Scary Close, Donald Miller writes that sometimes we’re too careful for fear of being judged.  It can be fear that keeps us from being ourselves and connecting with other people.  When you decide to be less careful and more free you’re risking criticism, but giving yourself the opportunity to be yourself and find people who love you for you.

Donald Miller created a list of freedoms to live by and found that by taking these risks, he started to become more comfortable with being himself and he attracted more of the people that liked him for that reason.

What if part of God’s message to the world was you?  The true and real you?

Game Plan:  If you’re willing to take some risks to be the true and real you, make your own list of “I am willing” or print this one off to keep it handy.
